doesn’t have to make Metal Gear any more

One of my favorite games of the year. Although the controls sucked …a lot.

Just finished Ghostbusters The Video Game. I enjoyed it and erm…Ye…The games not that special, but I guess it was worth my money. I got a couple of laughs from it and it kept me entertained for a couple of days.

Was in japan for a few days. Spent a whole day in Akiba. Bought loads of 2nd hand and retro games…I bought most of these from Super Potato in Akiba.

Just got a new laptop, for when I go to Uni (It starts October). I’ll be going to Imperial College to study Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Was worried as hell before the release of results, but after I got them (4 A’s at A Level = 3) I was so relieved and the next day had my dad ask me if I wanted to get a new laptop, as mine previous one is about 3 years old. So I went with the whole family, plus my girlfriend to the Computer and Communications Festival at the Hong Kong exhibition center.

I was glad it was much better than the Asia game show which I had went to last year. Man did the game show suck…There was basically only Sony showing anything decent with demos for new games. The rest were really weird anime goods booths and booths selling really crap peripherals for $10. Then there was erm loads of people cosplaying (and with nothing to do with games at all).WTF anime =/= games. Especially animes that become crappy games. I swear it wasn’t worth the $10 entrance fee.

Anyway the computer and communications festival was way better. Loads of people and loads of large brands with stalls. There were also loads of boothbabes in really weird plastic revealing clothing, who didn’t look pretty at all. And there were even more geeks with their fancy fancy cameras taking photos of the boothbabes. At least I didn’t see any unrelated anime cosplay people running around.

Weekends in the summer don’t really mean anything to me. It’s not like I’m not doing whatever I want in the weekdays. Well there’s my girlfriend who works, so I guess I only really get to hang out with her on the weekend.

Anyway, we were playing Super Mario Galaxy. A game I had completed like 2 years ago. It’s still a good game and we were playing it. And amazingly playing 2-player mode with one controller (she had the wiimote, I had the nunchuck) works. Great fun = 3.

We were going to play Twilight Princess but I have seemed to have miss placed it or lost it while moving. FUCK!

Looking forward to next Saturday.

It’s after my exams and I had (or at least I thought) that there were loads of games I needed to get. Turns out the only games I’d end up buying were Ghostbusters and inFamous.

This game was truly enjoyable. Great action, huge map, great story (I did a good guy finish). It’s a shame I’ll have to replay the game just to check out what it’s like to be the bad guy. Perhaps in the future.

Shame the game only runs at 720p, tho the games still looks awesome.

Really enjoyed the sidequests. They were not very repetitive and fit in with the story of the game. Tho I really hated the photographer…

“Awesome, just a couple more pictures!” x over 9000.

And I didn’t quite like how the npc asked me to take out surveillance cameras. She just told me to “Deal with it”. Thats nice considering i’m saving the city.

Onto the my favourite bits. Such as blowing up stuff (tho it was frustrating when there were hostages). Cars are my favourite target. I also enjoyed shocking everyone, I mean who doesn’t want to fry people up by shooting lightning from your hands?

Next up:  Disgaea 3 and Ghostbusters.

I would like everyone to know. Bat Rider, who was added to Dota in 6.60 is OP. I mean if you have viper and Bat Rider. You can Drag the opponent and have viper fucking have free hits on that person.
